Abstract painting is how I come home.
My morning ritual. 

Painting is like going on a walk that’s not planned, that I’ve never been on before but is still familiar. I remind myself to keep my senses open to meet something new.

There’s a rhythmic flow, putting one foot in front of the other, letting the detials in the surroundings pull focus while maintaining the full view. 

I don’t follow a plan because plans are comfortable, the place that many of us live during the day. Painting for me is connecting to the undercurrent that’s always there and making it visible.
